Local Attractions

Golford Chapel which is situated in Cranbrook Cemetery, is home to our beautiful Four Seasons Stained Glass windows. The Chapel is open throughout the year on nominated days including Public Bank Holidays and every Wednesday from 1 April to the end of September. Other opening days are as follows: During the Easter period,  Remembrance Sunday, Mother's Day and Father's Day, from 10.00am to 4.00pm and Christmas and New Year.  The Chapel can also be open for private viewing with adequate notice;  it is available for funeral services, prior to burial or cremation. Cranbrook Museum

Cranbrook Museum can be found in Carriers Road, Cranbrook. It is open from 1 April until 31 October, Tuesdays to Saturdays and Summer Bank Holidays, from 2.00pm to 4.30pm.


Cranbrook Union Windmill

Cranbrook Union Windmill is the tallest Smock Windmill in England, at 72 feet high, with unique, panoramic views of Cranbrook. Mary Dobell had the windmill built in 1814 by James Humphrey, a local millwright, for her son Henry.


Sissinghurst

The wonderful spectacle of Sissinghurst Gardens are only a short drive from Cranbrook. The creation of Vita Sackville-West and her husband Sir Harold Nicolson.
